The Dam Store at McGee Creek is proudly owned by brother-and-sister duo, Charley Deupree and Melissa Deupree. Charley has been a lifelong SE Oklahoma resident and small business owner for decades, while Melissa recently moved back from Dallas to work alongside her brother. Their goal is simple: to create a warm, welcoming place where locals, lake visitors, and travelers can find what they need while also enjoying a sense of community.
More than just a store, The Dam Store has become a gathering spot for the area. From Friday fish dinners and live music nights to family events and community fundraisers, the store is known for bringing people together. This year, they are especially excited to host the First Annual Redneck Regatta—a fun, creative cardboard boat race at McGee Creek State Park designed to showcase community spirit. Charley and Melissa are dedicated to supporting local organizations, celebrating the unique culture of Southeastern Oklahoma, and building traditions that will last for years to come.
