The Stronger Atoka Foundation for Growth & Community is the charitable arm of the Atoka Area Chamber of Commerce, created to invest in the people and programs that help our community grow stronger for generations to come. Our Mission is to strengthen the Atoka area through educational scholarships, community-focused initiatives, and collaborative programs that promote civic engagement, workforce development, and overall quality of life.
Through scholarships, leadership development, and community-focused initiatives, the Foundation supports opportunities that empower individuals, strengthen our workforce, and cultivate the next generation of leaders in the Atoka area.

jewel Darst memorial Scholarship
The Jewel Darst Memorial Scholarship Program honors the legacy of community leadership and service by supporting local students as they pursue their future goals.
Each year, scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from Atoka County high schools to help support their next step — whether that path leads to college, vocational training, certification programs, or entry directly into the workforce.
By investing in local students today, we are helping build the workforce and leaders of tomorrow.
Why the Jewel Darst Memorial Scholarship?
The Jewel Darst Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Jewel Darst, a woman remembered for her deep commitment to community, service, and supporting the success of others.
Jewel believed strongly in the power of opportunity and the importance of investing in the next generation. Her legacy reflects the spirit of the Atoka community — neighbors supporting neighbors and encouraging young people to pursue their goals and dreams.
Through this scholarship, her memory continues to make a lasting impact by helping local students take the next step toward their future, whether that path leads to college, vocational training, certification programs, or entry directly into the workforce.

The Stronger Atoka Foundation for Growth & Community was created with a long-term vision: to invest in the people and programs that will shape the future of the Atoka area.

Future Program: Leadership Atoka 2.0
As the Foundation grows, we are preparing to launch Leadership Atoka 2.0, a youth leadership initiative designed to inspire and develop the next generation of leaders in the Atoka area.
This program will give students opportunities to:

• Learn about local industries and career pathways
• Engage with community leaders and mentors
• Develop a deeper understanding of civic engagement and community impact
